Spotty Heavy Sleet/Freezing Rain Cells moving across North, Central, and Northeast Texas

Spotty heavy sleet/freezing rain cell moving northeast across the Hill Country, Central Texas, and portions of North and Northeast Texas. Rapid ice accumulations are occurring under these isolated cells – and bridges/roads will be hazardous in those spots. Roads may quickly go from okay, to icy to okay again over short distances. Expect those conditions to continue through the morning commute. Freezing drizzle, which does not show up on regional weather radars, is ongoing across the Concho Valley, Big Country, Permian Basin, and North Texas. While much lighter than the showers farther south and east, that freezing drizzle is ongoing in areas where surface temperatures are in the teens and twenties. Thus, freezing drizzle is causing surfaces to ice up.
