Here come the Blizzard Warnings for the NW Texas Panhandle for tomorrow. Avoid travel in the blizzard warnings and winterize your homes today. Some brutal conditions will be possible tomorrow with 2-6 inches of snow accumulation and 65 mph wind gusts. Drifts will be much higher, and roads will be impossible to travel on within the blowing snow bands. …BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM MONDAY TO 6 AM CST TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 2 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph.

* WHERE…The western and central Oklahoma Panhandle and the
northwestern Texas Panhandle.

* WHEN…From 3 AM Monday to 6 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Visibilities will likely drop to below 1/4 mile at times
due to falling and blowing snow. Plan on slippery road conditions.
Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening
commutes. Very strong winds could cause damage to trees and power
lines.
