8:10 AM North Texas Storm Update

The line of storms from earlier in western North Texas has generally dissipated. The outflow boundary produced by those storms now extends from near Sherman to McKinney to Dallas. A few new showers and storms are firing up behind that boundary, but most folks will remain dry. Additional popup scattered storms are possible this afternoon with another complex of storms possible tonight. That new complex of storms will probably fire up in West Texas and the Texas Panhandle later this afternoon or evening. Those storms will congeal into a squall line or complex and move east tonight. Some of those storms may be strong.
