Just wanted to share a few of the latest model forecast simulated radar images which are still developing a broken squall line of storms across parts of north central Texas early tomorrow morning.  At this time, the main threat across north Texas continues to be the chance for damaging wind gusts and a few reports of marginally severe hail.  This doesn’t look like a widespread wind or hail event across the entire area, but rather a more isolated event tied to wherever the stronger storms form within the line overnight.  At any rate, it would be a good idea to make sure you secure any loose yard items or holiday decorations before going to bed tonight.  Additional storms will also form out ahead of the line as it continues to move east/southeast during the morning and early afternoon tomorrow. Some of these could also become strong with a wind, small hail and frequent lightning threat.

Portions of southeast Texas remain under an Enhanced Risk of severe weather development tomorrow; however, the greatest threat for seeing severe weather, including tornadoes.  Far eastern/southeastern Texas and into central Louisiana look to see the greatest threat for seeing severe and tornadic storms by early to mid-afternoon tomorrow.  The Houston/Galveston metro area may see a few strong storms, but by and far the highest threat for severe activity will be located east of I-45/north of I-10 tomorrow.  The activity should move quickly east and out of the area by mid to late afternoon and will be followed by cooler and drier air behind the front.  Be sure to check back for updates overnight and early tomorrow as this forecast continues to be refined with more specifics.
