The potential for severe thunderstorms has increased for North Texas this evening. A surface cold front is running about six hours late. With a slower front, a volatile airmass has developed east of the dryline in North Texas. Scattered supercelluar thunderstorms are likely after 5 PM with very large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes possible. Storms will also develop in West Texas with large hail and move east along the Red River tonight.
