We have narrowed today’s chase target down to two areas. In a few hours we will have to pick and choose! Primary target is Granbury, TX for possibly the first severe supercell to form with some large hail and tornado potential.

Secondary target is Denton to Collin County for another storm or two that could rapidly intensify before congealing into a multicellular cluster. It would be between the southernmost storm and stuff that fires around the Red River and S Oklahoma. The potential for a tornado appears a bit higher, but the window in which the storm stays discrete with quality visibility may be briefer. Time will tell over next few hours. DFW, Granbury, and northeast up to Gainesville and over to Paris need to watch for this severe potential this late afternoon and evening. -JC
