Breezy and Warm Easter Weekend For Texas

Warm and windy weather will close out March across Texas. Easter Weekend will feature afternoon temperatures in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Breezy to downright gusty winds are expected out of the south through the weekend. The strongest winds will generally be during the morning hours, with some persisting during the afternoons across the western third of Texas. No rain is forecast until Monday.

While we’re enjoying the warm weather, it’s important to note that isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon into Monday night across Texoma, North Texas, and the Ark-La-Tex. Depending on how things come together, the risk may also expand to include areas farther west and south. Specifics will become more apparent as we get closer to the event, but we are clearly in our spring severe weather season. It’ll be pretty warm to downright hot on Monday.
A cool front will arrive behind Monday’s storm system. The front will bring northwesterly winds, drier air, and knock temperatures back down to early spring levels for Tuesday and Wednesday.
