New severe weather outlook for Sunday Night

Here is the new severe weather outlook for Sunday evening through Monday morning.

We’re expecting a nocturnal severe weather event (meaning night-time and late night). Fast-moving storms are likely with a squall line moving from west to east across Texoma, North Texas, and Northeast Texas overnight. Some development further south into the Hill Country and Central Texas is also possible.

Damaging winds and hail are the primary concerns – however, a tornado threat may also exist in Texoma and North Texas late this evening.

Please have a way to receive weather warnings tonight! We’ll have a detailed forecast video and written article available later this morning.

STORM CHASE PLANS FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10: We will be out and about. We will likely be starting in southwest Oklahoma for afternoon discrete supercells before transitioning south of the Red River for the late-night (after-dark) squall line. We will be live with storm chase video on our YouTube Channel and our website/app once the action gets going.
