With quiet weather expected for the next week these weather blogs will be nice and short. Its kind of nice not having to sit down and put graphics together for 45 minutes every morning. Temperatures this afternoon may be a degree or two warmer than Wednesday but overall no major changes are noted for today. High temperatures will range from the upper 50s to mid 60s across most of Texas. The Rio Grande Valley may top out around 70 degrees this afternoon – not bad for December! Clear skies, low dewpoint values, and weak winds will allow temperatures to drop off quickly again tonight. Its going to be fairly chilly with low temperatures in the upper 20s to upper 30s across all of Texas. Even in the Rio Grande Valley temperatures tonight will fall into the low-mid 40s which is on the cold side for those folks. Honestly I don’t see any sort of weather mischief until perhaps next Friday but even that doesn’t look too promising at the moment. Our temperate weather looks to continue into the second week of December. There are indications that we’ll return to an active weather pattern by the middle of December and into the Christmas timeframe. Enjoy the quiet weather and shorter blogs while you can!
