Three weeks until Christmas, and all through the state, not a complaint about the weather because it’ll feel pretty darn great! These videos may get a bit boring when an extended period of calmer weather is expected, but we’re willing to bet most folks won’t mind.
High temperatures across Texas will make it into the upper 50s, 60s, and 70s daily through mid-week. Thursday and Friday will feature temperatures up into the 70s and 80s as southerly winds increase ahead of our weekend storm system. We may see an uptick in grass fire danger with the warmer, dry weather and dormant grasses.
No appreciable precipitation is expected in Texas over the next five days. Our next upper-level storm system may bring the chance for precipitation to parts of Texas as we get into Friday night and Saturday. Specifics on timing and who may end up with what are still being ironed out in weather-model land. Some chances for storms may return to the Ark-La-Tex and East Texas, while some data also shows a bit of snow in the Panhandle.
That’ll likely change a few times over the next few days as weather models try to pin down specifics. We’re not seeing signs of a big-time arctic outbreak over the next week, even though some cooler weather is likely this upcoming weekend. Y’all have a great Monday, and God Bless!

Cilla Bennett Cold weather does NOT make you sick. Viruses flourish indoors, where most people are and where the air is dry. You can have colds in the summer when it’s 100°.
Well that sucks
Yuck
Better enjoy it now!
I want some cold weather! Kill off some of the parasites and bugs!

Amy Pruitt true, but come February’s inevitable ice storm, 60s and 70s will feel pretty nice. -David
