Scattered thunderstorms will continue this evening across the Upper Texas Coast and in the Golden Triangle. Rain chances will conclude Saturday morning, beginning an extended period of calmer weather for Texas. Longer-range weather model data suggests we may not see our next decent chance for precipitation for at least five to six days.
Around one inch of additional rain is possible in the Golden Triangle tonight. Lower rainfall amounts are possible in the Upper Texas Coast and the Piney Woods.
We must deal with spotty dense fog tonight and Saturday night, especially in the eastern Panhandle, Northwest Texas, Texoma, North Texas, the Coastal Plains, and Southeast Texas. Fog will be less widespread than Thursday night.
High temperatures this weekend and mid-next week will be picture-picture for the first week of December. We’ll see temperatures range from the upper 50s to near 80 degrees. No significant arctic intrusions are anticipated over the coming week, and our weather looks to remain on the pleasant side.
