The Storm Prediction Center has indicated they are considering a tornado watch for portions of South-Central Texas. Thunderstorms across South-Central Texas into Southwest Texas have shown a gradual organizing trend over the past couple of hours. A northward moving warm front has helped bring rich moisture from the Gulf of Mexico inland. That moisture has helped make the atmosphere marginally unstable. Wind shear in the low-levels of the atmosphere all the way up is strong this morning so it won’t take much to get rotating thunderstorms. The good news is the atmosphere is only weakly unstable early this morning. However with strong wind shear in place we’ll have to watch storms closely for signs of rotation. A couple weak tornadoes are possible this morning and a tornado watch may become necessary
