Tornado Watch Issued until 10 PM for NE TX

A tornado watch has been issued for portions of Northeast and East Texas until 10 PM. This watch includes Clarksville, New Boston, Texarkana, Atlanta, Mount Pleasant, Mineola, Tyler, Longview, Marshall, Henderson, and Carthage. A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe weather – including tornadoes. Large hail up to the size of golfballs and damaging wind gusts over 60 MPH are also a possibility. Severe storms are now moving into the western sections of the watch box. These storms will continue to organize as they move east over the next few hours.
