Another Warm Day Ahead Despite A Weak Cold Front

Good morning and happy Sunday!  A bit of fog this morning across parts of southwest and southeast Texas this morning, but that will quickly burn off and we’ll be off to another beautiful mid-Winters day across most of the state!  A weak cold front currently moving into the panhandle will not have much effect on our daytime highs this afternoon.  We could see a bit of drizzle across parts of eastern Texas ahead of the front by this afternoon, but nothing more spectacular than that.

We’ll still be looking at above normal temperatures across a majority of the state today and as we head into the middle of the week.  By Wednesday/Thursday, our next strong cold front arrives, but this front will behave much like the last two with most of the colder arctic air being shunted off to our east and temperatures rebounding over the state rather quickly in its wake.  Here’s a look at our afternoon highs today.  Quite pleasant…with less wind than yesterday…and perfect for any outdoor activities you may have planned.

Lows tonight will be cool and with 30s and 40s across most of the state, with 50s expected further south and along the coast.  We’ll have a more detailed outlook for the week ahead out later this evening, so be sure to check back later!
