Seasonable Weather for your Thursday; Sunday Morning Looking Cold!

There is no hazardous weather in the forecast today or tonight. High temperatures will be cool today in the Texas Panhandle and WEst Texas where high temperatures will remain in the low to mid 50s. The central tier of Texas from the Permian Basin through North and Northeast Texas will top out in the 60s while Southeast Texas and South-Central Texas will be warm in the 70s. As usual the warmest spot will be in the Rio Grande Valley with high temperatures in the lower 80s this afternoon. Skies across all of Texas are forecast to be sunny to mostly sunny. By tonight we see the chance for a few isolated showers across the Rio Grande Valley along with an increase in cloud cover. The rest of Texas should be dry with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

Sunday morning continues to look quite chilly as a batch or arctic air pushes into Texas. The possibility of freezing temperatures does exist as far south as the Concho Valley into parts of North Texas. We’ll keep an eye on model guidance over the next few days to see if temperatures trend any cooler. No winter weather precipitation is anticipated.
