Isolated Severe Storms Chances Return to Texas Today

Monday’s are already challenging, and now we have the added complexity of potential severe thunderstorms. While we won’t experience a total eclipse, we anticipate the possibility of isolated severe thunderstorms later today and this evening. It’s crucial to note that most Texans will not be affected until later in the week. However, a few unfortunate individuals may have to contend with disruptive storms today, tonight, and possibly Tuesday.

After 4 PM, isolated severe thunderstorms are possible in Northwest Texas, Big Country, and the Concho Valley. It is not guaranteed we’ll be able to get thunderstorm development. A strong capping inversion (lid) will try to prevent thunderstorm development. However, there’s at least a 50% chance we’ll be able to get a few storms to fire up late this afternoon. Once storms develop, they’ll move northeast at 30 to 40 MPH. The most intense storms may become superceulluar – with a risk of very large hail up to the size of baseballs and localized damaging wind gusts over 60 MPH. A low risk of a tornado may develop between 6 PM and 10 PM if we have any intense supercell thunderstorms. Thunderstorms would move into western Texoma and western North Texas after dinner, perhaps approaching Interstate 35 from southern Oklahoma to the D/FW Metroplex by 9-10 PM. However, said storms would also be running into a more robust cap (lid) that would result in weakening as storms approach or move just east of Interstate 35 late this evening.

Of course, that’s assuming we can get storms to develop and organize at all. Other possible outcomes include too many storms going up at once and a ‘blob’ developing (yes, a very expert term from Baldy) – preventing any one storm from dominating the local environment and becoming intense. Today is certainly not a sure-fire bet on the forecast, and Mother Nature will undoubtedly find a way to make us look like dopes. Hopefully, I’ve at least presented a few possibilities versus just trying to convey a singular option.

To add more fun to the uncertainty element – we may see a second round of isolated to scattered storms develop early Tuesday as a cool front (in name only) moves east across Northwest Texas and Texoma. Some storms may be on the strong side with pocket-change size hail and gusty winds. We’ll monitor trends throughout the day to determine whether this is more plausible. Otherwise, we’ll see the chance for a couple of storms in the Ark-La-Tex on Tuesday afternoon, though there will be higher storm chances in Arkansas.

The wildfire danger will be very high to extreme across the western third of Texas today and the western half of Texas on Tuesday and Wednesday. It will be very windy today, with pockets of blowing dust west of the dryline (where the fire danger will be the highest).

The chance for isolated thunderstorms may return to areas east of the dryline (eastern half of Texas) Thursday afternoon, with higher rain chances on Friday and Saturday over a much more significant chunk of Texas as a more substantial cool front moves in.

We’ll have storm chasers out today, so check out @texasstormchasers for live video feeds this afternoon!

God is my refuge and strength and my helper against my enemy. My enemy, d usa, is God’s enemy. God promised me tt his Hand will fight for me against the usa. D Hand of God like a flame rested ON my right shoulder and 3 balls of fire came into me in d presence of Bishop Chiu at d St Andrews Cathedral around 1980. God sent Dr Wayne Clark in 1989 to pray for me after Houston caused excruciating pains and injuries to my body and a stream of the Fire of God flowed into me. God added d fire to d golden censer (me) and OVERTURNED it on d earth as in Rev 8. Golden censer, an article of prayers, is symbolic of faith in God thru prayers undergoing fiery trials. God then gave me a vision somewhat similar to Ez 9 and gifted me with the 6 weapons /angels /plagues : wind, water, fire, earth, pestilences and wars (judges 9, d first such retribution of the release of devils causing wars and Americans terrorising Americans was 911). I saw God wielding an Axe devastating man /usa and God told me to command disasters on d usa until compensation paid as his Hand will fight for me against the usa. God also asked me to read Deuteronomy showing tt usa is cursed in d City, cursed in d country for doing injustices to strangers and helpless and touching God’s anointed King. Like David who was anointed King 3, I have been anointed thrice with the anointings of Called, Chosen and Faithful to become a heavenly king, Army of Heaven to strike down d evil nations (apocalypse). Commanding, fire of God produced EMW came forth to carry my commands, form a picture and activated the disasters on the dates i chose, d firsts were hurricane Hugo and St Francisco EQ but for Chinatown to stand. Ordinary fire /electricity can also be used to produce EMW to carry sound and picture but only reproduced in TV. God is love and therefore just and being d faithful one, fulfilled d prophecy of psalms 18 to make me into David to turn d usa into dust (apocalypse).
