Partly Cloudy and Warming Back Up

2015-09-13_10-08-09

Good Sunday Morning! I hope you’re planning on spending time outdoors today. There are several free events scheduled across Texas so hopefully you get out to enjoy one of those. Pockets of clouds are moving south across western North Texas into the Hill Country and Central Texas this morning. Overall we expect partly cloudy skies across all of Texas today.

Temperatures will rebound upward today across the western half of Texas in conjunction with increasing south winds. High temperatures will remain in the 80s along and east of Interstate 35 today from San Antonio north into Oklahoma. Folks across the Texas Panhandle, West Texas, Permian Basin, and South Texas will climb into the low/mid 90s.

Temperatures will climb back into the 90s for most of Texas this week with dry weather. We should see another cold front in the 7 to 10 day timeframe. A bit off topic but we have received a few questions about El Nino over the past week. Typically El Nino’s effects are most pronounced in the winter months. While we have been dry this summer we should see increased precipitation events by November and this winter. Temperature-wise we’re not dealing with anything unusual for early September.
