A potentially dangerous flash flood situation is rapidly developing in west and northwest Houston. Rain gauges have recorded 3 to 4 inches of rain in the past hour. Very heavy rain continues and looks to continue for at least another hour. Many streams and bayous are rapidly rising. Typical trouble spots when it comes to flooding in Houston will likely have significant issues. With rain continuing along with another round of high wind moving in be ready to act in the event we start seeing more serious flooding problems.
