Texas Weather Roundup [November 18, 2022]

A wet and chilly weekend is in store for the southern half of Texas. Light snow may occur this evening in North Texas, but travel impacts are not expected. As temperatures fall below freezing tonight and into Saturday morning, freezing fog and a light winter mix may result in slick travel conditions in parts of the Permian Basin and Trans-Pecos.

On Saturday, we may start the morning with light sleet or light snow, mixing with rain in the Hill Country and parts of Central Texas. Temperatures should remain just above freezing at the surface, so no impacts are anticipated. Roads will still be wet, in any case. Another round of light winter precipitation may occur Sunday Morning in the Trans-Pecos, with rain elsewhere.

The next forty-eight hours will not be a significant winter storm in Texas.
