Texas Severe Weather Evening Update | June 9, 2022

9PM: A line of thunderstorms is moving southeast at 35 MPH in the Texas Panhandle. These storms will impact towns such as Lipscomb, Canadian, Miami, Pampa, Amarillo, and Hereford by 10 PM. Damaging winds over 60 MPH are expected in the most intense storms. Very heavy rainfall and small hail are also a possibility. These storms will move into Oklahoma tonight, but the ‘tail-end’ could still impact the Red River counties of Texas all the way from Childress to Texarkana by Friday morning. Like Wednesday, we may see another outflow boundary get pushed south of the storms – with gusty north winds and blowing dust tomorrow morning.
