Most of Y’all reading the video title are probably saying ‘Ya think!?’. Yup, we’re finally acting like summer in the weather department after one of the more insane June severe weather seasons Texas has dealt with in recent years. Outside of isolated storm chances over the next several days, Texas’s main and only weather story will be the heat. Most folks across the state can expect high temperatures or heat index values (probably both, to be honest) to exceed 100 degrees every day through Thursday. Overnight low temperatures won’t be cooling off much either, which makes the heat all that more miserable. There is a bit of home beginning Friday and into the weekend when the upper-level high pressure sitting on top of us will start moving west; allowing some slightly ‘less hot’ air and perhaps a wee bit of storm chances to give some of us relief. Otherwise, grab some water and find your nearest fan, because it’s going to be a nasty week in the heat department.
