A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is entering Denton, Tarrant, and Johnson counties from the west. This line is quickly moving east at 45-50 MPH. Localized damaging winds of 55 to 65 MPH will be possible. At the time of this writing, a few wind enhancements were located near Rhome, Aledo, Cresson, and Pecan Plantation. We’ll be watching for these enhancements to produce higher wind gusts. There is a low threat for a brief tornado, but straight-line winds will be the primary concern over the next hour as the line of storms moves east. Heavy rainfall is also occurring.
