The possible severe weather threat east of the dryline has been discussed in detail in this morning’s blog. Conditions west of the dryline will be favorable for fast-growing wildfires this afternoon. Relative humidity values will drop to 15-25 percent and west winds will gust up to 35-40 MPH. Any grass fires that get started will be difficult to contain. Please keep your cigarettes in the car, and notify local authorities if you spot a fire.
