A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Coastal Bend and Coastal Plains regions of the Middle-Texas Coast. This watch is relatively short-duration only running until 12 PM. It mainly covers the complex of thunderstorms now approaching Refugio and Rockport. Those storms, along with potential new development, will move northeast up the coast this morning. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an additional watch issued for Southeast Texas later on.
