A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Texas Panhandle until midnight. As discussed in our blog post issued just after 5 PM we expected an uptick in thunderstorm activity this evening. These storms will move southeast with a threat for damaging wind gusts, pocket-change hail, and localized flooding. Remember to move indoors if a thunderstorm approaches your location. These storms will impact the Texas Panhandle and perhaps West Texas before they weaken/dissipate Thursday morning.
