Expect a quiet day today weather-wise with temperatures staying chilly and below average for this time of year despite the copious amount of sunshine overhead for most of the state. Â Highs today will struggle to reach the mid 30s across the panhandle, potentially a few degrees cooler for areas where snow still remains. Â Across north and northeast Texas, highs today will climb into the low 40s. Â West and central Texas will be slightly warmer with highs in the upper 40s. Â South central and coastal Texas will see highs reach the low 50s and deep south Texas will see highs approaching 60. Â For tonight into Monday morning, temps will once again drop into the 20s and 30s across much of the state with just a few 40 degree readings sprinkled along the southern coastal areas.
We will have a few weak upper level disturbances approaching this week…the first of which will approach west Texas tonight and bring a chance for some flurries across the southern panhandle. Â No snow accumulation from this is expected. Â Freezing fog will continue to be likely across parts of the panhandle overnight until all the remaining snow has dissipated. Â Other than those two items, no other issues are expected! Â Â
