ROWDY STORMS TONIGHT in Northeast & East Texas!

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late tonight into pre-dawn Friday across eastern North Texas, Northeast Texas, East Texas, and portions of the Brazos Valley. The primary timeframe will be 10 PM tonight through 5 AM Friday, with storms moving out of Texas quickly in the morning.

Damaging straight-line winds, large hail, and a low threat of tornadoes will exist. Strong westerly winds and much cooler temperatures will arrive behind a cold front that’ll be the primary mechanism for those storms tonight.

We’ll have storm chasers out later tonight, so check back for live coverage!

This evening, we can’t rule out a few snow showers across the Panhandle and West Texas. We may even see a few snowflakes in North Texas in the morning, but we don’t expect widespread impacts.
