July 29, 2016 • Apocalyptic Shelf Cloud hits University of Oklahoma

A sight that can only be described as apocalyptic overtook the University of Oklahoma in Norman just after sunrise. A complex of thunderstorms to the north produced one of the most impressive shelf clouds I’ve seen in my years of chasing. This shelf cloud flew south bringing with it strong winds, rain-cooled air, and thunderstorms. This video contains ten minutes of footage condensed into one minute, so a time-lapse of 10X.
