#Hurricane #Zeta (Cat-3) hit Grand Isle, #Louisiana on October 28, 2020. @TornadoIntercept documented this late season hurricane just a day after witnessing a historic autumn ice storm in Oklahoma City.

This was the last hurricane to hit the US in 2020…the record-tying sixth for the year. It will go down in history as the first and last major hurricane to make US landfall with a Greek alphabet name. As of 2021, the Greek alphabet is no longer used by NHC for naming storms following the completion of a year’s set name list.
