Today will be a mostly cloudy one for most of Texas although we will see some pockets of clearing this afternoon. Temperatures will be coolest across West Texas into Northwest Texas with high temperatures in the 60s. We’ll see 70s across the Concho Valley into East Texas with 80s into Deep South Texas and Southeast Texas.
We’ll see pockets of rain this morning across Northwest Texas with activity gradually moving into Oklahoma later this morning into the afternoon hours. The chance for showers and some storms will continue today across East Texas into the Coastal Plains and Rio Grande Valley.
A marginal risk of severe weather will exist along the coast in Southeast Texas through the coastal bend into the Rio Grande Valley. Like Monday we may see a few storms develop in Mexico and move into the Rio Grande Valley this afternoon and evening. A few storms may also pop up in areas mentioned above. The strongest storms could be organized with a large hail and damaging wind threat. Widespread severe weather is not expected at this time.
