April 30, 2019 • Charlie, Texas Tornado (Just Northeast of Wichita Falls) {D}

Texas Storm Chasers David Reimer documented a tornado west of Petrolia, Texas around 4:50 PM on April 30, 2019. This tornado was produced by the ‘tail-end charlie’ storm, or the storm with unimpeded access to warm, unstable inflow. This tornado maintained a multi-vortex structure for much of its life, before finally condensing and becoming rain-wrapped. It is fortunate that this storm did not develop more quickly as the tornado occurred only 10 to 15 miles northeast of Wichita Falls. The storm continued north across the Red River in a weakened state. #Tornado #Texas
