Date:  19 May 2010

  • Chaser: David Reimer
  • Location: Near Wynnewood, OK

May 19, 2010, was the second tornado outbreak to impact portions of Central Oklahoma within ten days. After chasing around the Oklahoma City Metro we dived south to the tail-end charlie supercell which was approaching Interstate 35 near Wynnewood, OK. A storm merger occurred as the supercell approached I-35 and quickly became tornadic. This storm produced another tornado about 45 minutes later after dark. The video quality suffered due to poor low light performance. I edited out as much video noise as I could.
Nearly six years later to the day I witnessed a violent EF-4 tornado from the same location as this day.

The map will display the approximate location of this chase (town). It should not be used for specific location information.
