Strong storms are already developing on the west side of the Houston metro, and the threat ramps up through this afternoon and evening across Southeast Texas, East Texas, the Brazos Valley, and parts of Northeast Texas. A few storms may produce tornadoes, large hail, and localized damaging winds.

A line of storms may also sweep through later this evening before things finally settle down overnight.
