Your Weekend Weather Roundup – Dry and Quiet with a Warming Trend

Not much to talk about weather-wise this weekend.  Increasing high pressure overhead and lack of surface moisture will lead to dry and pleasant conditions across the entire state.  Typical for November, we’ll have cool overnight temperatures primarily the result of dry air which will remain in place through Sunday.  Daytime highs will be at or slightly above normal and perfect for being outside enjoying nature.  A foggy sunrise will be possible across the eastern half of the state Sunday morning, but should quickly burn off by 9-10am or thereabouts.

It’s “TIME CHANGE” weekend, the end of Daylight Saving Time, so remember to turn your mechanical clocks and watches back 1 hour before you head to bed overnight.  It’s also a great time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors and weather radios!

Looking ahead into the next work week, the forecast remains dry with above normal temperatures until mid to late week when our next upper level disturbance and cold front are expected to arrive.  Unfortunately, or fortunately…depending upon your perspective…rainfall chances for the upcoming week look sketchy at best.  For most of us, that means we’ll need to keep the garden hoses out and irrigation systems running, but on the plus side, anyone with outdoor plans will have a good chance for seeing pleasant and dry conditions.
