8:35 PM Weather Update

Widespread showers and storms continue moving east across North Texas, Central Texas, and the Hill Country. New storms are developing in South Texas – moving northeast. Those will likely result in some flooding developing in Central Texas and the Hill Country later tonight.

There is a very low risk of a tornado and strong winds tonight. The primary concern will be heavy rain and flooding, especially across Central Texas and the Hill Country Thursday morning. In the short term, we’re monitoring a supercell thunderstorm moving into western Hays county. A brief tornado was indicated earlier southwest of Blanco, but the circulation has since weakened. WE’ll keep an eye on it in case it starts to spin back up.
