Severe storms are firing up in the eastern Texas Panhandle as a cold front pushes off to the east. Large hail, damaging winds, and even a brief tornado are all possible with those storms. After midnight, storm chances will increase around Del Rio to Eagle Pass in the Edwards Plateau. Those storms will move northeast into the Hill Country by sunrise on Wednesday with heavy rain. A limited severe weather threat may also exist.
