9:00am Sunday Morning Update – Small Patch of Wintry Mix Heading Towards the DFW Metroplex

We are continuing to monitor a convective cell that is moving up towards the DFW metroplex from the Stephenville/Granbury area this morning.  Temperatures are in the upper 20s across the region and it’s likely that we could see a brief shot at a rain and sleet mix as this continues to move northeast and into the metroplex within the next several hours.  So far, reports from spotters in the area indicate mostly rain with sleet pellets mixed in, but the roads are getting slick in places.   Please remain cautious if you’re in this region and plan on heading out on the roadways this morning.  While not exactly a “widespread” event…it could certainly bring some localized issues rather quickly.
