Winter Paradise Across Coastal and South Texas This Morning

A band of light to moderate snow continues to push south this morning towards the coast early this morning.  Folks from Laredo over to Corpus and up into the Houston/Galveston area will be looking at a winter paradise this morning once the sun comes up.  Accumulations between 1 and 3 inches will be possible over the next several hours across south Texas between Laredo, Corpus and Victoria.  Areas between Victoria and Houston will also see similar accumulations. Temps are hovering right at freezing now across the entire coastal and coastal plains region, but we should being to see temps begin to creep up just a bit once the sun rises. The main concern across this entire region this morning will be slick spots on bridges and overpasses. Side roads may also have accumulating slush and slick spots as well.  Check your news for local traffic conditions and school delays before you head out this morning and allow plenty of extra time to get to your destination.  Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect across the entire region.  The winter precip is expected to move offshore and out of the area before noon today.
