Warm and Mostly Dry This Week – Strong Cold Front Arrives Late Friday

Our overall weather pattern continues to remain calm and uneventful…which is good for most folks, but a bit on the boring side for us…? Temperatures will remain above normal for the remainder of the work week ahead until our next cold front arrives late Friday into Saturday.  A weak cold front will try to move into the northern half of the state tomorrow, but is expected to stall near the I-20 corridor before lifting back to the north on Thursday.  Friday will end up being the warmest day of the week ahead of our next strong cold front which is expected to move through the panhandle region Friday afternoon or evening…and through the remainder of the state Friday night and early Saturday.  Behind the front, the air will be considerably drier as it drives most of our moisture back out into the gulf and we’ll see a nice return of cool and dry fall weather conditions into the early part of next week. Rain chances between now and early next week continue to look slim.  What rain does accompany Friday’s front is expected to be on the lighter side with minimal accumulation expected.
