Another Cold Front Arrives Monday – Rain In The Forecast for Halloween

Our weather over the next couple of days will include the typical ups and downs of Fall in Texas as another cold front arrives on Monday.  Temps today will be quite pleasant and warming up a bit across the western half of the state with slightly cooler daytime highs further east.  Another cold front will arrive on Monday which will knock temps back down once again, but temps will quickly bounce back above normal by the middle of the work week. The long range forecast models keep us warmer than average for the rest of the week ahead with no clear signs of another strong cold front entering the state until we get into the 2nd week of November.  One thing we always enjoy with these cold fronts is the much drier and less humid air behind them.  Unfortunately, with the return of warmer temps and a more southerly surface flow this week, we’ll also see a return in moisture and humidity levels.

Rain is in the forecast on Halloween for numerous locations across the state, so be sure to plan accordingly!  Most of this will be on and off light to moderate rain, but we could see a few embedded thunderstorms mixed in.  The threat of any severe weather will be very low with mainly just a lightning and gust wind threat with any of the stronger storms that develop during this time period.  Most of the rain should be clearing out to our east by Wednesday and we’ll return to pleasant but more humid conditions to finish out the work week!
