We’ll have a detailed written blog post out this afternoon for Invest 93L, but here is a quick video update from the Florida Gulf Coast. Don’t go canceling any vacation plans just yet as uncertainty remains quite high on where the system should track. I do believe it will become a tropical depression or tropical storm in the southern Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday. The Hurricane Hunters are headed into the system this afternoon and that should provide us with a clearer picture of the current state of the system. Those with interests along the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida should keep aprised with the latest forecast. I don’t believe this will become more than a tropical storm, but heavy rainfall/flooding could be a significant threat along/east of the system’s track by mid-week.
