Quiet Weather Continues Through Saturday – Chance of Rain/Storms Late Sunday & Early Next Week

Quiet and pleasant weather ahead for the remainder of the work week and through Saturday as well. A surface high will remain in place for the next day or two with northwest flow aloft.  That will mean mild days, cool nights and dry air at the surface with most of the humidity staying well offshore until the weekend arrives.  Temps will increase a couple of degrees each day and we’ll be back up into the 80s by Saturday.  Rain chances don’t return to the forecast until Sunday and into early next week with our next upper level system.  While still a few days out, we may be looking at the chance for some rain and storms across parts of north Texas late Sunday/Sunday night.  It’s also still too early have any confidence in severe weather chances for Sunday evening and overnight, but we’ll be keeping an eye on that possibility over the next several days.  Beyond that, the forecast models are beginning to come into agreement on widespread periods of rain next week.  The Climate Prediction Center is trending optimistically on the wetter side with its current 6-10 day Outlook, so at least there’s hope for a good soaker!  At any rate, we hope everyone can get out and enjoy the pleasant weather while it lasts!
