Flash Flood Warning: Val Verde & Edwards Counties (S TX) till 745AM

A flash flood warning has been extended through 7:45 AM for Val Verde and Edwards Counties in South-Central Texas. Heavy storms have produced four to five inches of rain this morning. Additional heavy rain is falling and flash flooding is likely. Del Rio, Brackettville, Spofford, Alama Village, Standart, Amanda, Val Verde Park, Cienegas Terrace, Anacacho, Laughlin Air Force Base, Kickapoo Cavern State Park, and Turkey Mountain are in the warning. Additional heavy storms continue to move in from Mexico and will exacerbate any flooding.

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning for: Southeastern Val Verde County in south central Texas. Southwestern Edwards County in south central Texas. Kinney County in south central Texas.

  • Until 7:45 AM CDT.
  • At 4:46 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing Heavy Rain across the warned area. Up to five inches of rain have already fallen. Flash Flooding is expected to begin shortly.
  • Some locations that will experience flooding include: Del Rio, Brackettville, Spofford, Alamo Village, Standart. Amanda, Val Verde Park, Cienegas Terrace, Anacacho. Laughlin Afb, Kickapoo Cavern State Park and Turkey Mountain. Additional rainfall amounts of 1-4 inches are possible in the warned area.
