Flash Flood Warning: Grayson & Fannin Counties 'till 1030AM

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Grayson and southwestern Fannin Counties in North Texas through 10:30 AM. Some cities included are Sherman, Denison, Bonham, Van Alstyne, Howe, Pottsboro. Leonard, Collinsville, Whitewright, Gunter, bells, Tom Bean. Savoy, Ector, Knollwood, Ravenna, Dorchester, Southmayd. Tioga and Trenton. Heavy rains are moving across the warned area. A quick two inches of rain has fallen and an additional two to three inches of rain may fall through 10 AM. Typical low-lying trouble spots and low-water crossings may flood. Streams and creeks should also experience a quick rise.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Flash Flood Warning for: Grayson County in north central Texas. Southwestern Fannin County in north central Texas.

  • Until 10:30 AM CDT.
  • At 7:31 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing Heavy Rain across the warned area. This rainfall will lead to excessive water runoff and cause flash flooding. Low-lying areas are most vulnerable to rapidly rising water. Some Low-water crossings may flood and become impassable.
