Flash Flood Warning: Parker County (N TX) 'till 9 AM

A flash flood warning is now in effect for Parker county in North Texas until 9 AM. Heavy thunderstorms are moving into the area. These storms have already produce two inches of rain over the last hour. Additional heavy rain is anticipated which may produce another two inches of rain. Combined with the heavy rains from Friday flash flooding is possible. Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Azle, Briar, Willow Park, Reno, Aledo, Springtown, Hudson Oaks, Annetta, Cool, Poolville, Millsap, and Annetta North are included in this warning. Be mindful that low-water crossings may be under water and streams could rise quickly.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Flash Flood Warning for: Parker county in north central Texas.

  • Until 9:00 AM CDT.
  • At 6:02 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing Heavy Rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have likely already fallen. This rainfall will lead to excessive water runoff and cause flash flooding. Low-lying areas are most vulnerable to rapidly rising water. Some Low-water crossings may flood and become impassable.
  • Some locations that will experience flooding include: Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Azle, Briar, Willow Park, Reno. Aledo, Springtown, Hudson Oaks, Annetta, cool, Poolville. Mineral Wells State Park, Annetta North, Millsap and Sanctuary. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area.
