Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Trans-Pecos Basin and Southwest Texas until 10 PM this evening. Midland, Alpine, Sanderson, San Angelo, Junction, Del Rio, and Hondo are included in this severe thunderstorm watch. We already have a few severe thunderstorms that developed shortly before 2 PM. These storms are generally moving northeast at 20 MPH. Eventually we should see storms start to move in a more easterly/southeasterly direction as a cool pool becomes established and storms organize along that. The strongest storms may produce very large hail up to the size of tennis-balls and damaging wind gusts up to 70 MPH. Localized flash flooding is also possible.
