Red Flag Warning for near-critical fire danger in Southeast TX & Brazos Valley this afternoon

Fire danger will be very high to near-critical this afternoon across Southeast Texas and the Brazos Valley. The lack of recent rainfall has allowed surface fuels to dry. Combined with north winds gusting up to 25 MPH and relative humidity values in the low 20s the fire danger will become significant this afternoon. Any fire that develops could quickly spread and require substantial resources to contain. Please use caution with any outdoor source of flame – including grills.
