A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for the entire Houston Metropolitan Area and surrounding suburbs + counties. 1 to 4 inches of rain has fallen over the past 90 minutes. The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) are reporting over a dozen roads with flooding. With continued heavy rain falling we expect flash flooding to become more of an issue. A few bayous are also approaching bankfull so we’ll have to keep an eye on them as additional rain falls this evening. Houston is no stranger to flooding and I expect many of y’all know not to drive into flood water. Those who don’t will either get lucky or will end up on the news.
