An updated Tornado WATCH has been issued until 7 PM for portions of Central Texas and the Brazos Valley. This update adds the following counties to the previous Watch: Freestone, Limestone & McLennan…including the cities of Waco, Fairfield, Groesbeck, Mexia and Teague. A watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes. Residents within or near the Watch area need to stay alert to rapidly changing weather conditions and have a way to receive weather warnings should any be posted for your location.
Additional thunderstorms may form west of the watch later on but those will be covered in a separate watch if it becomes necessary.
