A life threatening and extremely dangerous flash flood event is underway in Hays and Comal Counties in South-Central Texas. Numerous high-water rescues are being conducted. Evacuations are reported in parts of Wimberly due to rapidly rising water. Wimberley, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda are receiving prolific rainfall rates. This is a Flash Flood Emergency! Be ready to move to higher ground as water may rise rapidly. Some locations have received 6 to 10 inches of rain this morning.

CYPRESS CREEK THAT MAY BE COMPROMISED…WITH EVACUATIONS TAKING
PLACE IN THE WIMBERLEY AREA. THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX PRODUCING HEAVY
RAIN ACROSS NORTHERN BEXAR COUNTY…NEARLY ALL OF COMAL
COUNTY…AND THE WESTERN HALF OF HAYS COUNTY. SEVERAL GAUGE
REPORTS OVER 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE BEEN RECEIVED OVER THE WARNED
AREA…AND RADAR ESTIMATES SUGGEST THAT AS MUCH AS 10 INCHES MAY
HAVE FALLEN OVER A FEW LOCATIONS.
